UFOs spotted over Essex?
Date: Thursday, August 28th, 2008 (CST ) Topic: UFO's & Aliens
A strange series of lights have been spotted in the skies over Essex, which witnesses say are unidentified flying objects. Tracy Fitzjohn contacted the Herald over the bank holiday weekend saying she saw some strange lights in the sky when she was in the Staple Tye area of Harlow on Saturday night.
Another similar incident was recorded on a Canadian website which is run by independent UFO investigator Brian Vike. Ms Fitzjohn said: "I left around 8.50pm to pick my daughter up from Passmores; she was with a group of friends. As I came out of my turning I noticed three red lights in the sky, and as I turned the corner, there were about five more, all in a line.
"The sky was clear and these were not aeroplanes. They didn't move or flash. When I got to where my daughter was, the first thing she asked me was, 'Did you see them?' There were many others who were out pointing up at the sky."
She later added that the objects were bigger than stars, and said that they were not Chinese lanterns.
On Mr Vike's website, the
account says there were four witnesses who contacted him about the
sighting who reported seeing nine of the objects at approximately
9.15pm.
The first account says the
lights may have been spread out over two miles of sky, all heading in
the same direction not changing formation and not omitting any noise.
Another witness account of the same event suggested the lights may be Chinese lanterns.
