There where 2 of them, almost as if they were playing with each other. Never have i seen anything do that. It wasnt at any exageratory speed its just seemed as if the wind around them was bending, gravatational propulsion possibly. All still unknown. |

They were too high to be part of the lights from the town, but were too low and much too bright to be from a star.I'd already seen several aircraft that evening and I know these lights didn't belong to one of them. It was their brightness that made them stand out. They didn't appear to be connected to a building or anything they were too high for that and they just sat there. I lost sight of them when I had to change direction but about 5 minutes later I saw them again, this time from in the town itself. Again I checked to see if they were part of any structure but I couldn't see anything that high that they could be connected to. When I made the return journey some four hours later I didn't spot the lights again, so I've no idea what it was. |

1976 Sighting - 2 disks over NY city.This sighting happened when I was ten years old, my apartment window faced south towards the landing pattern of Laguardia airport in NY. I was used to seeing the planes land at night and was familiar with the slow approaches from the south and the west to east patterns of planes landing. I was also familiar with the airplanes turning in the final approach to the airport at night. What I witnessed or thought I did was a disk shaped object with illuminated window panels and blinking red and blue lights on the outer edge of the object traveling east. At first I thought it to be a blimp traveling west to east or an advertising plane - I had also seen these at night. What struck me as strange was the speed, sort of a slow deliberate and perpendicular path that was too straight. I witnessed this and thought the distance to be at least a half mile away which would make the object huge. From my vantage point the object moved slowly and did not produce the jet sounds that I could make out from that distance that airplanes usually made. I still thought it was a single blimp until it reached the far eastern edge of my view and another similar object entered my view from the east but moving in a gyroscopic fashion - at the same plane of the horizon and perpendicular direction. I became excited as the first object stopped dead still and seemed to wait as the second object approached from the west. It was too much for me to believe and I watched for several minutes (about three) before I left the window to get some water and regroup. I returned to the window and to my surprise both of the objects had left the area, I remained watching for a long time but did not see them again. This has been bugging me for over 25 years, want to know for sure.((NUFORC Note: Date of event may be approximate. PD))
I noticed later that I had made an error in the direction of the second 'craft' but did not contact the website for a correction. The colored text should read ... another similar object entered my view from the 'west' but moving in a (see-saw) fasion. I never really estimated the height at which they were flying (about 40 - 80 feet above some 6 story tenements buildings) or how big I estimated them to be : at least 50 - 75 feet in diameter. |

A friend and I were walking in the woods, just enjoying the night air and scenery. We stopped for a while to rest. One of us happened to look up and see a single white, static light moving slowly through the sky. The object appearred to be lower than most planes flying in the area, and was low enough that the light source seemed large and bright, but high enough that we couldn't make out the shape of the object against the black sky. The light was not blinking or red, like most airplane lights, and there was only one. You could definitely see that the light was on the underside of a metal body craft, because you could see where the light was reflecting of the metal on the underside. Beyond that we couldn't make out the general shape of the object. It moved directly over our heads VERY slowly, much slower than any plane I've ever seen, and it was absolutely silent, making us beleive that it couldn't have been a helicopter or plane. It moved over our heads, then switched course in a slow turn of about 30 degrees and kept on this new course as it continued over the treeline and out of sight. At no point did the light flicker, change, go out, or change color. Also the craft never stoppped moving the entire time we saw it, and it didn't change velocity, but continued in its eerily slow flight. It only changed course. My friend and I were not able to figure out what it was since it didn't have the characteristics of any plane or helicopter we'd ever seen flying at night. Beyond all this, your guess is as good as mine as to what it really was. |

It appeared to be in the same flight path (heading west) as incoming planes headed for LAX, but again, the redness of the light coming from it made me wonder what it actually was.
When I finally got out of the car, I saw that the object was actually moving eastward, and just southward a bit. It was moving very slowly...far slower than any airplane could move and still stay airborne, and there were no running(blinking) lights, so the possibility of it being a small plane or helicopter was eliminated in my mind.
It was just a bright red glowing object moving very slowly toward the eastern horizon...and it never changed speed or direction until about 15 or 20 minutes later...just before it got too far away to see...when it seemed to angle a bit northward and pick up speed a bit.
My brother, his fiancee, and my three youngest sons all saw it also. |

Hello Brian, It’s been a while since we last talked. I got something to show you, these clips are 3 of 3. Last night a little after nine o’clock I went out back and saw the Estrella Mountain lights. But this time I saw a very weird flashing light moving away from the objects it looked like a large plane.
I can’t recall at all in the year I have lived here ever seeing a plane go over that area of the mountains before. I did forget to remove my U/V lens before taping so sorry about the blurriness. The last clip is the night shot clip, this is the same object (lights) you can see one of them go out. I will be watching for more thanks again.
I have heard that Southwest Airlines 737 have an all lights flashing display to have other planes see them better in the sky. I’m not sure if it was a plane or not, I could not hear any noise (too far away). The lights were on before I started taping, I got about 2 min of tape. The plane was approx 2-5 miles from the lights when I started taping. I have to say again that I never see planes flying over that area from West to East in the whole year I have lived here! I am in the flight path for Sky Harbor Airport so I see the flights coming in on approach. This flight was flying over the area where I have only seen smaller air force jets from Luke Air Force Base fly though there.

Hello Brian.. been kind of slow down here in Bloomington... anyhow, here's what I got Sky conditions were partly cloudy, mostly clear.
We were driving North to town, and I was just playing around videotaping cars down Highway 37. And out of the corner of my eye I seen a object rise up above the tree-line.
I panned over to the west and at first didn't see anything then it came out of nowhere and I taped what you see, It dropped back below the tree line we went back where I first noticed it and couldn't find it again.

The object was in sight for about ten seconds and was moving at phenomenal speeds. The witness ran to get his camera. He states, “My heart was beating so fast, it still feels like a dream. The object shot from the west and went into a southwest direction. My girlfriend and I both remember feeling a static like feeling when it shot by as our hair was all statically charged and started to stick up on end.”
I got my camera out and waited for a good 15 minutes and the UFO returned to fly by over head at a good 500 feet above us and it was darting all over the place. It was in sight for a good minute then it raced towards the city of Kingston. My girlfriend had to sleep at her friend’s house because she was too scared to sleep alone. Thanks to Kevin Arman.
